| COMPANY BACKGROUND
Since its creation in 1983, PT Petrokimia Gresik has been active
in engineering and fabrication work for pressure vessel, heat exchanger,
tower and others for its own use. Ammonium sulphate plant was the
first successful plant which was fully engineered and fabricated
by PT Petrokimia Gresik employees at the time.
In 1986 PT Petrokimia Gresik has started to do the job for outside
companies such as for PT Kertas Padalarang (paper mills), Semen
Padang (cement), PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (fertiliser), PT Kertas
Basuki Rahmat (paper mills), PT Kertas Leces (Paper Mills), etc.
And For its Continuation in 1987 Pt Petrindo Hitachi Zosen was established,
consist of 85 % share of PT Petrokimia Gresik and 15 % share of
Hitachi Zosen Co.Ltd., Japan.
Formed from nucleus of staff from Hitachi Zosen Co.Ltd.,Japan and
from PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Petrindo Hitachi Zosen has presented
a lot of Plant equipment for various companies in Indonesia including
Pertamina (oil & gas), PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (fertiliser) and for
export.
In keeping pace with technological advancement and to cover demand
which is increasing from year to year, PT Petrokimia Gresik has
decided to expand the existing facility and as result, on march
22, 1990 PT Puspetindo was established with shareholder PT Petrokimia
Gresik, PT Pupuk Sriwijaya, PT Rekayasa Industry, PT Mapindo Parama
and Balcke Duerr AG,Germany.
Even though as a company, PT Puspetindo is relatively new, but
the company was formed out off staff from PT Petrindo Hitachi Zosen,
PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pupuk Sriwijaya and PT Rekayasa Industry
which brought the rich experience of execution of their project.
Key employee’s knowledge is increased and getting more experience
by having training in Balcke Duerr,Germany in the field of engineering
and fabrication.
GENERAL
Our activities cover all models of Heat exchangers, Pressure vessels,
Tanks / Towers and heavy steel structure for which material of all
applicable grade are used.
Materials which we are used to handling include Carbon Steel,
Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and Non-ferrous metal such as Monel,
Brass, Copper-Nickel, Titanium, Laum - Bronze. Facilities are also
available for weld overlay cladding.
We have experience in designing, manufacturing and testing according
to the standards & codes of all international bodies. Inspection
& testing is done by our own independent quality control department
includes control of purchased material on the basis of written procedures
and systematic inspections throughout the manufacturing cycle. The
quality control operations include but are not limited to welding
procedures, welders qualification, heat treatment, chemical analysis
and other NDT. Chemical laboratory and metallurgical laboratory
are available.
We have handled a number of projects where the equipment has been
completely engineered & fabricated by our own facilitie s.
It stands to reason that our workshop are equipped with modern machinery
& devices including best connections for transport e.g. direct
access to the waterway with a capacity of 4000 DWT.
Our development staff, designers, estimators, planning and production
engineers are accustomed to working in closely-knit team on all
undertaking. This teamwork ensures the maximum efficiency for the
company’s design & manufactures. It goes without saying
that we are still a leading company in engineering & manufacturing
of Plant / Process equipment in Indonesia.
